Clare - Farwell - Harrison - Lake - Lake George - Leota

Welcome to the official site for visitor information about Clare County Michigan.
We invite you to visit us and Explore Clare County!

Spring Color Tour

Enjoy Clare County Art

Clare County is called ‘The Gateway to the North’ for good reason; most of our county is undeveloped wooded lands that turn into an amazing display of color during the spring. With colors and scenery rivaling fall, we invite you to Explore Clare County on a Spring Color Tour!
Let us invite you to stroll through art galleries, or take a self guided tour of historic art found throughout the City of Clare.  Some of this art dates back to the depression era through a “public works” program initiated by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

Quilt Block Trail!

While visiting Clare County remember to look for the many quilt blocks displayed on barns, homes, and businesses! A Quilt Block Trail has been developed to help you find them!

Amish Auction & Flea Market

Clare  County is home to a large community of Amish,
with roots going back to the original founders from Switzerland. The Yoders and their friends hold a large quilt auction and craft  show each spring and late summer Imagine farm fields transformed with rows of crafters,  antiques and flea marketers
